Champagnes can be full-bodied and rich, best served as accompaniments to food, or lighter in style, and enjoyable on their own. Nicolas Feuillatte non-vintage is made in the lighter style, although it has enough malty, tangy, fruity flavour to ensure itcan partner food as well. It comes from the excellent co-operative winery at Chouilly, and the blend of grapes is typical of non-vintage Champagnes - 40 per cent each of the black grapes Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, and 20 per cent of Chardonnay."
